Mcrosoft has revealed the North American and European price of the Xbox 360 in conjunction with the Leipzig Gaming Conference. There will be two models: Xbox 360 Core System priced at $299.99 U.S./ €299.99/£209.99 and the Xbox 360 priced at $399.99 U.S./ €399.99/£279.99. Xbox 360 will launch in North America, Europe and Japan this holiday season with more details on the Japanese launch to be released at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.
The Xbox 360 includes: Xbox 360 Console, Xbox 360 Hard Drive (20-gigabytes and detachable), Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, Xbox 360 Faceplate, Xbox 360 Headset, Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable and Ethernet cable, Xbox Live Silver membership and for a limited time Xbox 360 Media Remote.
The Xbox 360 Core System comes with: Xbox 360 Console, Xbox 360 Controller (wired), Xbox 360 Faceplate, Xbox Live Silver membership and Xbox 360 Standard AV Cable.
Backwards compatibility was addressed in this announcement, and the only way you’ll be able to play original Xbox games on your Xbox 360 is if you have a hard drive.
In addition to system pricing, Microsoft has also announced a full array of accessories:
