Japanese erotica companies h.m.p. and GLAY'z have both announced a series of pornographic UMD titles on the PSP, slated for release in July.
Eight titles (with names such as Big-Breasted Nurse Amagoromo Mitsu, Kaneshiro Anna: The High Class Soap Mistress, Beatiful Body - Ero-Terrorist Noa) will be available at retailers, with prices ranging between 2000 yen and 3500 yen ($18-32). More will undoubtedly follow if the format proves to be a success.
Due to Japan's regulations on pornography, all titles will likely be partially censored, and be in Region 2 encoding--meaning they won't work on U.S. PSPs.
Given the more public, on-the-go nature of handhelds, pornography on PSP is a potentially volatile match, especially in North America. Lawsuits have been filed in the past for viewing DVD porn inside automobiles, and there will likely be similar incidents if adult content becomes widely available stateside for the PSP.
