Sega's Smilebit team has a new skateboarding game in the works, although there's very little else to say on the subject at present. Ollie King, announced today.
Note that the developer in this case appears to be the new Smilebit, formed out of the sports-focused divisions of Sega's Smilebit and Amusement Vision studios, rather than the Smilebit familiar to most American gamers, the developers of Jet Set Radio. Those staff will soon officially be part of the Amusement Vision studio.
It also remains to be seen what platform Ollie King is for, when it will be released, and more or less anything else worth knowing about the game. Common sense would mark this as an heir to arcade games like Top Skater, but that's only speculation at this point.
We can presumably expect to get the full story from Sega at the end of the month, when it unveils this and many other new titles at the Tokyo Game Show.
