Konami of Europe has confirmed a November release date for the Game Boy Advance version of its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles title, with a 3D action title for PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox and PC CD-ROM to follow early in 2004.
With Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello and Leonardo set to return to European screens in 2003/2004, courtesy of the new animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series, the Konami-developed game has been designed to reflect the stunning new visual style of the show, and also features a number of the new cartoon's adversaries within its 35 action-packed stages.

As such, players are offered four very different attacking styles as a Bo staff, nunchaku, Sai blade and katanas come into play within the game's free-roaming 3D stages. Perfectly mirroring the new TV series, the game's emphasis is on combat as the evil Shredder's Foot Clan attack from all directions and the player uses the many throws, punches, kicks and attacks the game offers.
As befits the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' first next generation title, the PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox and PC CD-ROM versions benefit from incredible cel-shaded graphics, and a 3D play area where a roaming camera effortlessly keeps up with the unrelenting action. Huge end-of-level 'boss' adversaries from the TV show add variety to the action, while a second player can also join the fun via co-operative or competitive dual-player modes. The game also boasts a huge number of collectible items used to unlock additional moves and previously hidden features.
The game also features an intuitive 'Combination' feature, where strings of moves can be combined to unleash up to 30 consecutive hits on an opponent. Likewise, the Game Boy Advance also enjoys the same mix of game styles, with the Nintendo handheld version specifically tailored for the format, but nevertheless featuring the distinct moves of the four Turtles and a wealth of puzzles, action and end-of-level bosses.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released for Game Boy Advance in November 2003. Versions for PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox and PC CD-ROM will follow in Q1, 2004.
