Nintendo To Cut Royalty Rates? According to Reuters, Nintendo of Japan is preparing to cut royalty rates for the GameCube in order to secure more third-party developers for the console. There are also reports that Nintendo will focus primarily on third-party titles for their booth at E3, and that companies like Capcom and Sega will be important to raising the GameCube's success rate. In a growing struggling financial market around the world, it makes sense that Nintendo would lower its royalty rates in the hopes of attracting more third-party games to the GC, which gamers can tell that it obviously needs in order to stay competitive with the the PS2 and Xbox.
