Microsoft Game Studios has announced that they have signed a deal with BioWare, a company known for its Baldur's Gate series, to develop an exclusive first-party title for the Xbox.
Bioware is currently developing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic with LucasArts Entertainment for the Xbox, and its popular Neverwinter Nights obtained the number one spot in North America during its initial weeks at retail.
Said Ed Fries, VP of Xbox Game Content at Microsoft Game Studios, "I’m very excited about this new alliance between Microsoft and BioWare. These guys are some of the most creative developers in the world. We’re looking forward to working with them to bring the creativity and great gameplay they’re known for to Xbox."
