Rob Zombie and A Perfect Circle will contribute new recordings to the fist-pounding soundtrack to the flick "Resident Evil: Apocalypse," which comes out August 24. Other artists signed on for the disc include Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Lacuna Coil, and some unnamed emo/metalcore acts, according to a spokesperson for the project.
The horror movie "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" is the sequel to Paul W.S. Anderson's film adaptation of the popular Capcom video game of the same name. Directed by Alexander Witt and written by Anderson, "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" features the return of Milla Jovovich as Alice, a woman who joins forces with a group of others against a horde of flesh-eating zombies (see "Milla Jovovich Battles Zombies, Bloody Hands On 'Resident Evil: Apocalypse' Set"). The movie, which hits theaters on October 1, also stars Sienna Guillory, Sandrine Holt, Oded Fehr, Mike Epps and Zack Ward.
Released in March 2002, the soundtrack to the first "Resident Evil" included songs by Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Method Man and Fear Factory, and Manson also contributed four pieces of score music.

I hope they use Rammstein and Manson on the soundtrack again. The first one rocked. Manson did some really cool composing.
