I would go with the first Resident Evil. If it wasn't so good we wouldn't even have all the other great RE games.

Resident Evil 2 I think is best.
That was also the first RE game I owned and I still think its the best RE game.

i think re2 because you can be multipule characters when you complete it several times and its fun to play and i never get bored of it when i play it over and over again. The same with re3 . them 2 are my best games and are worth playing and i really hope re4 will be like that since i live in uk it won't come out till spring 05

I think RE 4 is the best I have it and I beat it several times and it never gets boring
