You may already own the original release of the Resident Evil movie on DVD, or you may already own a copy of the Superbit version released shortly after... but if you don't, or you want to own a super-dooper-edition of the DVD, then you're in luck. Resident Evil: Deluxe Edition, shown at right, will be released in the US this September 7th, a mere three days before the sequel.
While there is no word on what exactly the contents of the DVD may be, I would hazard a guess that they are likely to include some of the extras that made their way into the German or Japanese releases (such as the alternate ending and additional commentary tracks), and if we're lucky - maybe even a new Resident Evil 4 preview.
