As reported earlier in the month, S.D. Perry's seventh Resident Evil novel is due before the end of the year, and while it was previously labeled as "Zero Hour" it seems a change of title to "Resident Evil: Ground Zero" could be on the cards. The use of this title isn't without a level of irony. With the other two novels based on the movies arriving, their titles are based off Paul W.S. Anderson's choices of subtitles for his scripts (Genesis and Apocalypse). However as history has it, "Genesis" was the second choice of subtitles for the original movie - the first being "Ground Zero." While I'm still willing to believe that this book will be a novellization of Resident Evil Zero, other suggestions have been made which include a new original novel and also a suggestion of Resident Evil Outbreak. It's worth noting that while the title has changed at a number of online retailers, the name hasn't changed at the publishers own official website listing. Thanks to John for making a note of this. Of other novel note is the cover image for Keith R.A. DeCandido's Resident Evil Genesis novel, which is shown below. www.simonsays.com/content/content.cfm?sid=33&pid=500415
