Is Half-Life 2 being delayed yet again? Not exactly, but an interview in magazine Polygon with Valve's Gabe Newell certainly opens up the terrifying possibility that we won't even see the game on shelves until 2005.
"We've already spent millions into this project," said Newell, "and we're willing to spend as much as we need to make this the best first person experience ever. If that means delaying the game to 2005, we'll do it without any hesitation. If it means sinking another $20 million into the project, we can do it. Rest assured, if we delay the game, it'll be only to blow your socks off even more when it finally releases."
Let the cold sweats and nightmares begin.
Oddly enough, website Blue's News states that this quote was actually made in reaction to the game's delay from September of 2003. That seems strange, considering that it has only now begun circulating through the web faster than Viagra spam mail.
