Microsoft announced that Xbox Live will go down for 24 hours beginning on April 21st in order to allow the company to start rolling in new software features.
Keep in mind, many of the changes and updates that Microsoft implements won't necessarily go "live" immediately, as a number of them won't actually be usable until developers decide to include them in their respective games.
