If you've been thumbing through a copy of Game Informer lately, you may have noticed a write up that points towards the inclusion of a multiplayer mode in the highly anticipated Metroid Prime 2. The magazine shows a screenshot from the upcoming title that is presumably from the yet to be announced multiplayer mode and states that optimistic Nintendo fans are hoping the company will include either LAN or Internet play in the game.
With just a few short weeks until May's Electronic Entertainment Expo, however, Nintendo is quick to issue a "no comment" in regards to the game's multiplayer functions.
Expect to learn a whole lot more about Metroid Prime 2, which is being developed by Texas based Retro Studios, in the very near future.
