Midway has announced that its upcoming horror title, The Suffering, set in a high-security and isolated prison, has gone gold for both the Xbox and PlayStation 2 consoles. The game allows players to control Torque, a prisoner who may or may not have killed his ex-wife and two children, as he desperately tries to escape from the hellish prison haunted by deadly ghosts and monsters. The Suffering will feature 9 levels, morphing effects, 10+ weapons, over a dozen gastly creatures, tons of blood, and several different endings. It ships on March 8.
